Range

Cw. Pacific Ocean;
Breeding area largely unknown, but probably in the coastal deserts of Peru (Paracos Peninsula) and n. Chile (Mejillones Bay). Forages in the Humboldt Current from ca. 15N to 26S.
Disperses s. to Valparaiso (33S), Chile and n. to Ecuador, the Galapagos Is., Colombia (Narino) and the Cocos and Clipperton Is. far off the Pacific coast of w. Mexico (Clipperton Is.) and Central America.
