(1) Cape Verde Is. and Canary Is., sw. Europe in Span, s. Italy, Balkans, and n. Africa (nw. Mauritania e. to n. Libya and Nile Valley) to Asia Minor (Turkey, Arabia).
(2) Caucasus, w. and n. Iran, ex. S. Russia, Turkestan n. to the Aral Sea e. to region s. of Lake Balkhash, Afghanistan and ex. w. China (Tien Shan).
Winters in Iran and nw. India.
