Namibia w. to the Atlantic coast, n. and e. Botswana, Mozambique, c. and e. South Africa (Transvaal, Natal, Orange Free State, se. and s. Cape Province). Madagascar. Isolated population in Lake Chad area of Chad, n. Nigeria and n. Cameroon.
