W. and n. Western Australia and the Northern Territory (New Haven Station on the e. edge of the Great Sandy Desert, Kakadu National Park, Waterfall Park). N. Queensland (Iron Range National Park, Mount Molloy, Kingfisher Park in the Atherton Tablelands and Cairns Cementery). S. Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria and se. South Australia, Kangaroo Is. and Tasmania.
Winters to Tasmania and s. New Guinea.
