Tamaulipas and Chiapas s. on both slopes to Costa Rica (Osa Peninsula, Puerto Jimenez), Panama and from Colombia, Venezuela, Trinidad, Guyana, Surinam, Guiana s. w. of Andes to nw. Peru (Piura) and e. of the Andes through e. Ecuador, e. Peru, Bolivia, Paraguay, s. Brazil (Bahia (Chapada Diamantina), Minas Gerais (Caraça), Pará (Carajás), Santa Catarina) and n. Argentina (Salta, Jujuy, Tucuman and Misiones).
